The GAM Gobo Pattern is an important tool for every lighting project and can be used in many ways. Patterns create 'background looks' when projected on scenery, on walls, floors, or on a cyclorama. Patterns can 'break up' the light used to illuminate people. Some patterns can create positive (light) designs, while other patterns are used to create negative (shadow) designs. Patterns can be used as an animation device, to create the illusion of fire, water, twinkling stars and much more. The Great American Pattern will enhance your creativity and has limitless applications.

Combining Patterns into new scenic elements is easy and economical, it offers the lighting designer a lot of opportunity to be extremely creative. Two examples below:

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

GAM Steel Patterns are manufactured in .006" thick stainless steel except some halftone patterns in .005" thick stainless steel. GAM Patterns also come in glass and custom designs are available.

Bridges must be inserted to maintain physical structure for
steel patterns, if not, the center of these letters would fall out.

Industry standard basically dictates three common pattern sizes; the A,B and M sizes ranging from 2.56" to 4" in diameter. Other sizes do exist and are illustrated on the following page.

GAM Pattern adapters are designed to enable patterns to fit into devices that are a slightly different size. The following page illustrates the various adapters with dimensional information. The pattern being mounted in the adapter is held under the three tabs. First, bend the tab up, set the glass or metal pattern into the ring, then bend the remaining lip of the tab over the pattern to hold it in place.
